So for lack of much daily cooking lately, I'm going to talk about a delicious takeout experience. We finally tried Mandarette a few nights ago and really, why did we wait so long? The steamed veggie dumplings weren't that exciting (I have a feeling they may have been better served immediately rather than being driven up the street), but the hot and sour soup, black peppercorn shrimp and spinach with glass noodles were wonderful. It's a little more than I usually like to spend for dinner on the couch, but worth it when you really want Chinese takeout, but you don't want to inhale a bowl of grease. (Don't get me wrong. There are times when I really do want to inhale a bowl of grease.)
And contrary to the Citysearch review, it seems they do deliver in the immediate area after 5pm. We ordered our food at about 8:30.
